PA School Orientation
Thursday, May 26, 2016
Hi friends! Hope you all are doing well. We had our orientation on Wednesday and Thursday of this week. I promised in my last post that I'd give y'all an update of how everything goes and here I am. I've split it up into two parts since we had our orientation over two days.

Life Update: PA School orientation is TOMORROW! Wow, how did we get here already? Seems like it was November just yesterday when I got accepted to PA School. Sorry for being MIA recently, but this past week/weekend I was busy moving and then unpacking my belongings. I'm so glad I moved a full week before school actually starts so that I have enough time to get settled in.

Hello everyone! So we're at the last junction of this personal statement journey (cheesy I know) and I'm so excited for those of you applying this cycle. If you are just joining us now, here are the first and second posts of the series for you. I decided to split it apart just because there's so much to be said about writing a personal statement and I didn't want to have just one very long post. Today, let's go over some common mistakes people make on their PS and what you can do to avoid them.

Hello there! As I mentioned in my last post, I'm doing a series on how to write your personal statement. This second post will pick up where I left off last time and I'll wrap up by talking about some simple yet essential tips. In my next and last post of this series, I'll share some common mistakes that applicants should avoid making on their personal statements! So let's jump into it and finish talking about what to include in your personal statement.

By now, most of you have started your CASPA application and started to fill it in. For most people, writing their personal statement is the most daunting task about the application process. How are you supposed to set yourself apart from other applicants in just 5000 characters? Worry not, you're not alone. A reader of my blog recently asked me to read her personal statement and give her my feedback. I had a great time reading about her experiences and her desire to become a PA. It gave me an insight as to what it's like to be on the other side of the table and made me think about what goes through the minds of the admissions committee while reading our personal statements. I've decided to do a series of posts so I can share my experience and suggestions with all of my readers.
